Twirling, whirling, leaves descending
Scurrying, hurrying, never-ending
Lifting, drifting, lawn-offending
Piling, defiling, brownish-blending
Plotting, rotting, mildew pending
Sinking, stinking, moisture-lending
Nourishing, flourishing, grass is mending
Growing, showing Nature’s tending

ReplyDeleteI love the rhyme! I like the image of the initially defiling leaves going on to nourish the growth of the garden, to make it green and lovely as it was.
ReplyDeleteEric,
ReplyDeleteA real sense of spring and summer optimism ahead all within the beauty of nature.
