The End Of The Year

Goodbye, November
With brown leaves falling

Hello, December
With holidays calling

So long, Autumn
With cold winds blowing

Greetings, Winter
With white flakes snowing

Farewell, harvest days
With bountiful reaping

Welcome, frigid days
With icicles creeping

  4. Every time I come here you seem to have moved things around--wasn't there a statue of a stone lumberjack with a beard up somewhere??? Anyway, enjoyed the words and pics here that mirror each other perfectly. And thanks as always for stopping by my joint.

  5. A perfect poem to herald in December, Eric. That light fixture photo is awesome, but it's making me shiver :)

  6. Hedgewitch, I'm always adding content to this blog, as well as my other two. (I keep hoping people will think they've missed something and will dig through the archives!)

Talon, I took that photo in 2008, after a thaw-freeze cycle dripped water down from gutter icicles over the light fixture and re-froze.

  16. sweet thoughts. I peek out my window every morning looking for a blanket of snow, but none yet. Snowflakes drifted through the air today though, enough to make some barely discernible drifts in amongst the last of the leaves that I never got around to raking. The kids & I are waiting, ready to race out for the first snow angels.
