Flash Friday 55: The Event

September Seventeenth, Nineteen Ninety-Four…

Sixteen years ago it happened

Yet I remember it like yesterday.

(Even though my memory ain’t what it used to be)

I remember fear and anxiety.

(Even though they’ve faded with time)

I also remember the uncertainty and reluctance.

(Even though I’d do it again in a heartbeat)

Happy anniversary, baby!

I think you were getting married on the same day I planted my 2 oaks in our deck. Awesome sign of lasting great things!

  11. Happy anniversary, Eric! Very nice 55! :)

(On a side note, when you said "1994" and "16 years", I felt sure that you were writing sci-fi, 'cos NO WAY could 1994 have been so long ago. I actually had to count. Man, I must be getting old!).
