Everyone has a nightmare box
they fill up all day long
With hurts and pains and wicked thoughts
and anger felt so strong
Some boxes are very small
and barely hold a thought
Other ones are very vast
and everything gets caught
We stuff our boxes to the brim
and lock the lids down tight
But we all have a key we use
to unlock them at night
Every little hurt and pain
is magnified and grows
Turning into a nightmare
turning friends to foes
