Nightfall

The sky slips
From high azure
Down the spectrum
Waning
Wading
Through sherbets
And pastels
Before
Finally fading
Into slate grey
Approaching night
Stealing
The last rays
Of daylight

  1. Great title! Love the literal and figurative way the poem's form descends as well as the narrative. I especially like how you centered the text. Given it's evening right now, I just experienced what you written. A wonderful poem, Eric.
