Ten Years

It was ten years ago this very day

That’s when I started working here

Things have changed in many ways

But not always for the better, I fear

I’ve seen some people come and go

A few moved on to better things

The others, well, I just don’t know

One never knows what Fate will bring

Ten years ago, and still, here I sit

At my desk weekdays from nine to five

And though not much has come of it

It still beats that unemployment jive
