Can I Love A Man?
Not physically (that’s not for me)
But emotionally, you see?
Can I Love A Man?
Is it okay for me to say
A man affects me that way?
Can I Love A Man?
Can I let it be known
I feel his words as my own?
Can I Love A Man?
Say I’m glad to share
The thoughts he lays bare?
Can I Love A Man?
And tell what’s true
That he’s my brother, too?
Can I Love A Man?
Of course I can.
For my
poetic brother,
Emmett Wheatfall.
A great take, Eric. I like the poetic response to my poem "I Have Never Kissed A Man." We are poetic brothers.
ReplyDeleteI sure hope so, eh! I love my girlfriends whole bunches, but then again I suppose that has always been more socially acceptable to say.
ReplyDeleteThat's powerful.
