Year Of The Dragon

Born a dragon
and scorpion

But not Chinese
nor Lebanese

Still I feel it
inside me yet

Some direction
of connection

Never explained
somehow constrained

I feel its pull
deep down and dull

Or strong and keen
borderline mean

To fly or sting
with fire I bring

Another sense
intelligence

Something to say
a dragon’s way
