BuddhaRocks Project: Day 1

Why resist my quenching rain?
I know you thirst; it’s very plain

One kiss would make things okay
You’re tight-lipped and turn away

I held back too many years
Now my rain turns into tears

  10. The pictures really add to the poem ... awesome verse. Who doesn't relate to being closed off to the offer of help? To being afraid of being vulnerable? I know I do...

  11. I love the double negative. The twice rejected. You stay with it. Smart and clever. You know I relish that kind of tension. You stay right in the pocket per se. We've both written a piece incorporating the "tear." I feel your pain man, I feel your pain.

  16. A gorgeous metaphor, I didn't realise the picture was a prompt before reading the comments. Your poem makes perfect sense now, and I really enjoyed it.
