Wishbone

I pulled a wishbone
from my breast
to rid me of desire


An act of desire itself
cannot put out that fire

Wanting not to want
Trying to not try


Seeking not to seek
Longing to not long

Seeking freedom
is its own cage


Learn to just Be
Open and free
