Life’s constant struggle
Energy-draining worries
Taking a toll on my soul
Grinding my teeth
Over tiny details
Over little things always
Finally revealed as unimportant
I try to find some way
To free myself from them
A small glimmer of hope when
Little by little I feel them release
Little by little my soul finds peace
Wow. That one summed up probably most people's days. I love the cadence and the buildup. Very well done!
ReplyDeleteI am going to print this out and put it on the refrigerator :-)
ReplyDeleteugh honestly i needed that today...been running all over and just need to stop...but now its time for work...
ReplyDeleteNice. And you hit it straight on -- little things revealed as unimportant. All our worries about things that haven't happened yet. It is akin to paying taxes for things yet to be purchased.
ReplyDeleteOh the pre-programmed Hold On is so hard to LET GO. Those Depression Era parents that prized paper dolls and balls of twine and kept cans of pennies. Yep..hard to let go and yet why bother to hold on..no one care when you're daid & gone. Good Acrostic poem. Gay
ReplyDeleteI need lessons. This is a great write!
ReplyDeleteEasy is right and right is easy. Can you help me with my wife, she suffers insomnia.
ReplyDeletePeace

That's how it should be tackled. Great words.
ReplyDeleteThat was awesome. Creative with a strong message. :)
ReplyDeleteYou crafted a dance of abandon, just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWise words :o)
ReplyDelete"Tiny details," "little things,"little by little I feel them release"--isn't is interesting how life is lived in mere moments, whether we're worrying (i.e. creating our own suffering) or surrendering. Nice poem!
ReplyDeletewise words indeed- and it's hard for all of us to let go of the small stuff...
ReplyDeleteOver little things always/finally revealed as unimportant...
ReplyDeleteGood thing to keep in mind.
(If that doesn't work, as someone said: Booze is the only answer!)
Release is a great word...letting go of that which we have no control over....Great One Shot...bkm
ReplyDeleteYou said it Eric- Just let go of it all!
ReplyDeleteNot many of us do it- and keep themselves stressed- certainly not I. I can take a break even if my tails was on fire.. haha
Well written- very creative
Hugs xx
Fantastic Eric, I love how you've written this, reading downward on each line's beginning letter "Let Go Of It All" and the full point made within of that same sense to release. EXCELLENT work! Love it =D ~April
ReplyDeleteso with you here...enjoyed this well written acrostic...hope all is well?
ReplyDeleteYes! Now tell me again how to do this? ; )
ReplyDeleteOohhh...nice...
ReplyDeleteWith this, I too can let my hair down..
Some things are just not worth spending an entire lifetime of energy over!!
A good message here, Eric!!
That is the honest Bubba truth mister and well slanted.
ReplyDeleteIf you find a way to let it all go, I hope you'll share the secret. Nice One Shot, Eric.
ReplyDeletereminded me of a juggler rule "let go means progress"...
ReplyDeleteHi Eric
ReplyDeleteYes, we are all engrossed in doing things that are not us, not for us. We never usually see ourselves in the way we are... I liked your description of the same.. trying to find oneself little by little...
