It’s all in my head, or so they say
But I think it’s much better this way
Inside my head here it’s all about me
And much better than the world I see
They call me self-involved, or even vain
They don’t understand; I can’t explain
Sometimes it seems I act mad as a hatter
But inside my head, at least I still matter
I never ignore me, I never bore me
And there’s always simpatico company
So let them point and laugh and sneer
It doesn’t matter as long as I’m here
Ha! this is perfect, as you already know,it came from you!
ReplyDeletereally, we have to start with the self, how long will it take me to get that?
gotta go to work on the inside...

ReplyDeleteGreat poem.
Hey, I'm a head case too. har har. I get it. I have learned through recent events that the only one who is consistently there from birth to death is me and I better know what the hell I'm doing and I better be funny, charming and encouraging company!
ReplyDeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteI may not be much, but I'm all I think about.
ReplyDeleteGreat that you enjoy your own company. Thanks for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteme, myself and I - I cannot not deny :)
