One

With one step, she caught his eye

With one glance, she got his attention

With one smile, she had him hooked

With one kiss, she won his love

With one word, she broke his heart

With one deed, she crushed his soul

  3. Wow ... I would love to have that kind of influence over a man ... I would use my powers for only good things though :-)

  6. Ouch. Love hurts. You told a universal story very well in these few lines.

  10. Eric, better to hold back a little than to allow oneself to be so crushed by one so little known!

  12. Frightening image of a femme fatale. Tight, well written poem. I like that 'with one' refrain.

  13. Women can be easily as cruel as men, but men are expected to "suck it up" in our society. This guy was unafraid to face his vulnerability. As such, his chances of being able to cry will help him avoid stress-induced illness later on. As they say, what doesn't kill you... makes you stronger! Nice take on the Monster prompt! Amy
