Piercing The Veil, Jack

Take a step back,
a moment inside yourself

Outside all of the revelry
and the cajoling

Deep inside your head
where the only voice is your own

Reflect on possibility
Wonder at truths

See what’s invisible,
the thing that’s not there

Touch the immutable Truth
behind the moment

Stop and sense and know
what nobody else can tell you

It’s right there all the time
but few ever see it

  1. A poem of profound truths. "See....the thing that's not there." Quite wonderful. I went back and read it a second time, and it clicked.

  3. Sherry - Wow, I don't know that I've had the adjetive "profound" used for one of my works before - I humbly thank you.

Eileen - Glad you enjoyed it.

Ollie - Tired monks are wise that way.

  5. I can see you in the woods in between shots finding that place in the quite white and gray solitude.
