On-High

**

You took me up to Heaven with you
we soared through the clouds on gilded wings
and beheld the glory below us


We brushed the feet of angels
and watched the sun dip below the horizon
beneath a curtain of pink and gold


We saw the Earth slowly turning
and I felt such peace, there on-high
knowing you were there with me
