    Actually 1955 was before my time - I was born in 1964. (British Invasion era!)

    I just wrote down things that came to mind - I wasn't even sure all my references were accurate for the era.

    But I checked and they were all pretty timely. For instance, Eisenhower really was president in 1955.

    Stop! Hammer Time!

    I remember the old Hammer films that gave rise to such greats as Christopher Plummer and Christopher Lee. (Each of whom later appeared in Sar Wars films, a nod from director George Lucas both for the actors and Hammer films)

    I started Kindergarten in 1955...
    I remember all of these things.
