Captain Fearless
The ghost of Captain
Fearless still haunts this old dock
Listen close and you may
hear his peg-legged walk
He wants a new sailor to
head his ghost ship’s crew
Don’t come here at night
or he might shanghai you
Thrown overboard by his
mutinous first mate
His spirit kept alive by
vengeance and hate
He haunted the crew and
gave them such grief
They wound up crashing the
ship on a reef
Now his ghost comes ashore
on this sort of night
When the fog rolls in
thick and the moon is just right
And wanders the dock
looking for a first mate
If you hear him laugh,
it’s already too late
