Nothing happened yesterday
Which seems so strange to say
Because I do not mean it
In the usual way

It seemed perfectly plain
And nobody complained
But the difference is
Something I must explain

For you see, something had changed

Old thoughts rearranged

Lost friends and family members

Were no longer estranged

Nobody got hurt in a fight

No gang shootings overnight

Nothing bad to report

Everything was alright

There came a sudden peace

Fighting and killing ceased

Greed disappeared and

Brotherhood increased

People helped one another

Became sister and brother

And the whole world realized

We are all linked to each other

There was no more need

For corporate greed

Once love took hold and

Started gaining speed

So, in an unusual way
Though it seems strange to say
I am delighted to report
