O, to be that one
The singular focus
That eclipses the moon
In your sky
My timid heart
Pauses
Until emboldened
By hopeful promise
Fierce desire
Frightens
Yet
I want nothing more
A singular focus
Eclipses the moon
In your sky
O, to be that one
O, to be that one
This is romantic and lovely.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it, Mama Z!
DeleteThis is good, Eric. I've never read poetry by you using this kind of language and imagery. And the use of "O" always works for me. More poetry like this man, more, more, and more!
ReplyDeleteI've been known to brandish the poetic "O" from time to time, emmett. It's like a special spice - only for certain occasions.
DeleteO Eric, I love it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous words and sentiment. :-)
