All Grown Up

We all once had some wild, wild dream

That crazy notion made our heart scream

It filled our thoughts both day and night

And made us smile with sweet delight

But then, somewhere along the way

We were told to put those dreams away

They said that it wasn’t practical or smart

Said to follow the brain and not the heart

And, over time, we’re no longer a child

We forget about all our dreams so wild

Then we disregard dreaming as insane

And thus we settle for a life mundane
