Where we have been before
The past has gone away
Where will we go from here
We decide every day
It’s all about choices
The path that we each take
Determined by every
Decisions that we make
We each can choose to be
Soothing or more violent
Doctor or prisoner
Benefit or detriment
Sometimes it’s so easy
To lead ourselves astray
Sometimes it’s very hard
To find a better way
Each step makes a difference
So mind its direction
Choose the straight and narrow
And strive for perfection
So true. What you feed your mind gives you your reality. You can live in a scary war zone in your mind or nirvana and the experience of life is vastly different from defensive to open and receptive.
ReplyDeleteWe can't always choose what happens to us, but we can choose how to deal with it and how we deal with it is what creates the real experience -- for good or for bad. Wishing you and your family a beautiful, wonderful and very Merry Christmas, Eric!
