BuddhaRocks Project: Day 1





Woods Ablaze

I ventured forth in autumn brisk

the sunlight made me smile



I took a walk to find a place

to linger for awhile



I stepped into the woods ablaze

and marveled at the sight



The colors that surrounded me

filled my heart with delight



Yellow gold and crimson red

the leaves they all were burning



The white birch trees reached so high

I almost felt them yearning



Dark evergreens brought sharp relief

against the leaves so bright



And on that day in woods ablaze 
the world just seemed so right

    That world sounds all right to me! Lucky boy! Our cacti do not cooperate with colors here, especially when we're still in the 90s.

    Great poem! It captured the beauty of fall. I've really been enjoying all the colors and changing leaves. It is almost magical to walk through a forest during this time of year!
