The Way Of The World

I wonder and ponder the meaning of life
A thing too deep to fathom
My thoughts run around and around
Until my brain starts to spasm

Yes, that’s the weight and the way of the world
And therein lies the key
We all return to the dust one day
Like rain returns to the sea

Why am I here?  Why not over there?
What am I supposed to be?
Is there a higher purpose we serve?
No one knows, undoubtedly

But that’s the weight and the way of the world
And therein lies the key
We all return to the dust one day
Like rain returns to the sea

I think it’s time to stop all this thinking
And just go out and DO
Because soon, before you know it
This short ride will be through

‘Cause that’s the weight and the way of the world
And therein lies the key
We all return to the dust one day
Like rain returns to the sea
