A Life Reclaimed

I finally saw you crack the shell
The thick wall surrounding you
That kept you from yourself

I witnessed a miracle in awe
Cracking slowly, painfully
Until you finally broke free

So shines a new, luminous being
Now you can soar across blue sky
Your light shall brighten the world
