Clockwork

Time was much more tangible

When it tick-tick-ticked away

Life much more manageable

Watching the seconds each day

  6. If I was told I only had a week to live, I'd more back to where I grew up b/c there not only did life seem more manageable, it seemed every second lasted an eternity. lol Tight write, Eric. Great photo too.

  7. makes me think about the cuckoo clock in my childhood home...marking time in a pleasant way...it never felt intrusive, just constant.

  11. This reminded me of wearing watches. I have several, and funny how analog clocks have a strangely different sense of time from digitals... I prefer one with a second hand myself. Then, when I'm counting little heart rates I can count the tick, tick, ticks.

    Thought provoking little poem!

  23. Great new year's poem. Hands seemingly frozen in time in your image and hearing each second tick discretely in your poem. With each year, the yearning increases to make each one count for more. Well done, thanks. Gay @beachanny
