Bright Star

My love lightly through Eternity slips
Weightless though she carries the World

Six black horses hearken quick scarlet whips
Chariot crosses Heaven, her dark flags unfurled

Payment of bright stars, slowly her hand dips
The galaxies are stirred, swirling, tightly curled

  2. This is the stuff, Eric. It's got everything I love about poetry in it, love, loss, eternity, mystery and that journeying thing...excellent rhymes as well. I can see the black banners waving in the star wind as she passes overhead. Nice.
