Tents Know
As I walked past tents
What I said
Was past-tense
The things I put in my mouth
And what came out
Not peace, no
As I walked past, tense
What I said
was passed tense
The things I put in my brain
And what came out
Knot piece, know
As I walked, past tense
What I say
Is now, today
The things I put in my eyes
And what came out
Not piece, know
As I walked passed tents
What I say
Is now, today
The things I put in my veins
And what came out

I love this form of poem, I love your play with homonyms and word roots. this is a favorite meme for me when I want to get my neurons firing but as quickly and hot-wired as possible. You are terrific, not passe tints. Ha!
