Prosetry

I don’t

have to rhyme

It’s easier

not to look

for connections

between

similar

syllables

But that’s the craft

To make that cohesion

To maintain the flow and

slide into home plate

Prose is a different animal

All about

the sounds

found within

and the rhythms

of word and

pause

I have

no qualms with prose

and there are those

who excel at it

But I have found

that I’m

okay with words
that rhyme
