Real World

Staring at tiny, lit-up screens
Filtering the world down
Into easily-digestible bits
Things less than profound

Join me, here, in the real world
A solid, tangible place
Where birds can fly across the sky
And the breeze blows in your face

This place is not a website
This place will not be found
In any gadget you can hold
Much more than sight and sound

Mother Nature looks her best
On the very widest of screens
Stretching from horizon to horizon
Showing us such glorious scenes

There’s an entire world to see
And experience first-hand
There is no electronic method
To sink your toes into the sand

Conversations face-to-face
With real emotions, not in code
Flowers to smell and foods to taste
Some things you just can’t download
