Stop

Feel
the stillness that
surrounds you there
Fall

Feel
the silent snow
the breathing trees
Full

Feel
your senses reach
expanding out
Fill

Stop
pondering and
wondering and

    opening with a stanza that commands your reader to stop makes me do precisely that. i was able to take this slowly, in small bites. to feel each line slide down my throat like a salve. thank you.
