Loved this! Reminded me of my childhood bedt...Ha! Loved this! Reminded me of my childhood bedtime fear - The Thing Under The Bed. When I turned my bedroom light on, I'd take a running leap onto the bed, certain that if I stepped to close in the dark, a hand might reach out and grab my ankle. Once in bed, I could not sleep with my feet out of the blankets. Even in the summer, I had to ensure they were covered - for much the same reason as you, I think.
